My Story

I’m really excited (and a little nervous!) to be taking on 13.1 miles through Westminster and the City of London to raise vital funds for Prospect Hospice — a charity that provided outstanding end-of-life care to someone very close to me, and continues to deliver the same exceptional support to people across our community, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Prospect Hospice offers all of its care completely free of charge. Their teams provide clinical, emotional, and practical support both at the hospice in Wroughton and in people’s homes across Swindon, north-east Wiltshire, Lechlade, and Fairford. Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, they make a profound difference at one of the hardest moments in anyone’s life.

But this incredible care is only possible because of people like us.

It costs around £10 million every year to run the hospice. With just 18% of that coming from government funding, a huge 82% must be raised through community support.

That’s why I’m running — and why your support means so much. I am still recovering from ruptured meniscus and ACL so starting pretty much from scratch.

If you’re able to, please consider sponsoring me. Every donation, no matter the size, will keep me going when the miles get tough and help Prospect Hospice continue providing compassionate care for local people at the end of their lives.

Thank you so much for your support. It truly means the world.
