Men's Walk to Support 2026
Nick Smith
My Story
I am taking part in the first-ever Mens Walk to Support!
On Saturday 18 April 2026, I will be walking eight miles from Prospect Hospice in Wroughton to the County Ground with hundreds of other men. It is a chance to walk side by side, talk if we want to, and support our local community.
I am proud to be supporting Prospect Hospice, our local charity providing specialist end-of-life care for people across Swindon, Marlborough, north Wiltshire, Lechlade and Fairford.
Why Prospect Hospice needs support
Prospect Hospice care for over 2,000 people every year, serving a community of more than 330,000 residents. 90 percent of their care is delivered out in the community, wherever people need it most.
It costs over 10 million GBP a year to run their services, and with only 18 percent of income coming from government funding, they need to raise more than 8.5 million GBP every single year.
How your donation helps
Your support really does make a difference:
20 GBP could provide a memory box for a child
54 GBP could fund two hours of emotional or family support
132 GBP could support a series of six bereavement sessions
500 GBP could help fund a full day of specialist care
Thank you
Whatever you are able to give, thank you. Your support means a lot to me, and to the people Prospect Hospice cares for.
